The 6-Cylinder 6640 Engine Cylinder Liner is a critical component used in internal combustion engines to provide a durable and wear-resistant inner surface for the engine's cylinders.
Features and functions:
Material and Construction: Cylinder liners are commonly made from cast iron or other high-strength materials. These materials are chosen for their ability to withstand the abrasive forces generated by the reciprocating motion of the pistons within the cylinders.
Cylinder Bore: The cylinder liner is precisely machined to form the internal bore of the cylinder, ensuring a smooth and consistent surface for the piston's movement.
Heat Dissipation: Cylinder liners help dissipate heat generated during combustion, preventing overheating of the engine block. This is crucial for maintaining optimal engine temperature and preventing warping or damage.
Wear Resistance: Cylinder liners are designed to resist wear from the piston rings, which move up and down within the cylinder. They also protect against corrosion and other forms of damage.
Sealing Function: Properly fitted cylinder liners create a sealing surface for the piston rings, which maintain compression within the cylinder and prevent the escape of combustion gases.
Easy Replacement: One of the benefits of having cylinder liners is that they can be replaced if they become worn or damaged, without the need for extensive engine block machining.
Regular maintenance and inspection of cylinder liners are essential to ensure that they remain in good condition. Over time, these liners can wear, become scratched, or develop other issues that can impact engine performance. In such cases, cylinder liner replacement may be necessary to maintain the engine's efficiency and reliability.
The cylinder liner is a high-quality component used in various engineering machinery, ships, and generator sets. Made of high-strength cast iron material, it has excellent wear resistance and corrosion resistance, and can withstand high-temperature and high-pressure environments. It is precisely processed to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface smoothness, which can match the piston accurately, improve sealing performance, and enhance engine performance.
Reliable and Practical:
The cylinder liner has been subjected to rigorous testing and validation to ensure its high degree of reliability. It has been designed to withstand extreme conditions and harsh environments, making it a dependable choice for a wide range of applications. The cylinder liner is made from high-quality materials that are resistant to wear and tear, ensuring that it can withstand the high temperatures and pressures that are common in engine operation. In addition to its reliability, the cylinder liner is also highly cost-effective. It is designed to provide long-lasting performance, which means that it can help users save money on maintenance and replacement costs over time. The liner’s high degree of efficiency also means that it can help improve the overall economic performance of the equipment it is used in. Its high degree of reliability and economic efficiency make it an ideal choice for someone who are looking for a dependable and cost-effective solution for their engine needs.

Application:
The cylinder is made of a cylinder block and cylinder head, mostly made of aluminum alloy.
Cylinder block: The cylinder block material should have enough strength, good castability, and machinability, cutting price should be low, so the common cylinder block materials are cast iron and alloy cast iron.
However, the aluminum alloy cylinder is more and more widely used. Due to its lightweight and good thermal conductivity, it can shorten the capacity of the antifreeze. After starting the cylinder quickly reaches the working temperature, and the coefficient of thermal expansion is exactly the same as the aluminium piston. After heating, the clearance does not change much, which can shorten the impact noise and engine fuel consumption. Similar to the thermal expansion of the aluminium cylinder head, the work can shorten the thermal stress generated by hot and cold shocks.
Cylinder and cylinder liner there are three types of structure: no cylinder liner, dry cylinder liner and wet cylinder liner.
Without cylinder liner cylinder: Cylinder barrel and cylinder body made into one, and the piston contact with the inner surface of the non-sleeve. Most cast iron cylinder gasoline engines use this type, simple structure, production processing area less, and cylinder rigidity is good.
In order to improve the wear resistance of the cylinder surface, the overall structure of the cylinder body uses alloy cast iron, unlike the cylinder with a cylinder liner, which only needs a cylinder liner with better wear resistance material, and most of the cylinder body using cast iron or aluminum alloy.
Dry cylinder liner: Dry cylinder sleeve is a thin-walled sleeve with good wear resistance, the cylinder sleeve will be pressed into the cylinder, to complete the production of the inner surface processing.
The dry cylinder liner is not in direct contact with the cooling water, so the thermal conductivity is poor, and the cylinder liner and the cylinder chamber production processing requirements are higher. But most of the cast iron can be used for cylinder blocks, dry cylinder liner for cylinder bore less than 120 mm high-speed engine.
Wet cylinder liner: Wet cylinder liner is in direct contact with cooling water thick-walled sleeve, wall thickness should ensure sufficient strength and stiffness, most of the cylinder bore for 5% ~ 10%. Wet cylinder liner thermal conductivity is good, easy to replace, and collective casting is simple, according to the need to choose the material. The disadvantage is the collective rigidity is poor and easy to leak.
Good use of lubricant
Lubricants with viscosity values should be used in strict accordance with the seasons and engine performance requirements. Poor quality lubricants should not be purchased at will, and the quantity and quality of lubricants should be tested and maintained regularly.
Strengthen the maintenance of filters
Keeping the air filter, oil filter and fuel filter in good working condition are very important to reduce cylinder liner wear. Strengthen the three filter maintenance to prevent mechanical impurities into the cylinder, reduce cylinder wear, and extend the engine life of important measures, especially in rural areas and windy and dusty areas. It is wrong for some drivers not to install air filters to save fuel.
